Gracious yet unpretentious service is a hallmark
of the dining experience offered by all of the Domaine Restaurants.
Red Pearl Kitchen’s fun and hip setting welcomes business
and casual attire and our facilities are perfect for private
parties through buyout of the restaurant. Our full service
menu offers an extensive Wine list, sushi bar service, small
and large plate entrees, and more.
The exotic meets the cosmopolitan; Red Pearl Kitchen, a Chinese/East Asian restaurant/bar
and blends a savvy, chic, 1940’s Shanghai kind of glamour with the upscale,
urban and fine-dining sensibility of its proprietors. Near the Huntington Beach
Pier, this historic building attracts a young and vibrant nighttime crowd with
its vintage-style neon signs.
In the warm glow of the interior, a lounge area invites guests to socialize on
luxurious chairs, with decorative elements inspired by Asia. The marriage of
the old world and the cutting-edge continues in the main dining area, where dark
wooden floors are met be bronze slate at the foot of the central bar. The bar
itself take an opalescent, pearly tile step up to black lacquered bamboo caning
and a polished, dark slate counter; high overhead, a suspended wooden liquor
display suggests the roof of a pagoda in its clean lines and airy, open structure.
Overall the effect is classy, hip and fun-a casual way to impress a date with
good taste, current vogue and happening atmosphere.
Elegance and character are emphasized by turn-of-the-century pressed tin ceiling,
which catches the glow from Chinese lanterns in raw silk curving ones set off
by bands of maroon silk, or box-style stretched over wooden frames hanging from
delicate wall brackets and over communal tables by the front window. There, new
acquaintances can dig into the accessible, affordable, high quality dishes offered
by the Goodells. Other diners enjoy cozy booths for two in thick, brocaded silks
with Chinese design motifs throughout. |
